Renovation of a 1940s villa, overlooking the harbor and the coastline, a historic landmark of the local landscape long left abandoned. The intervention transformed the seafront and garden portion into a restaurant, respecting both the landscape regulations and the building’s original identity. The exterior was preserved and enhanced through a soft, harmonious palette that echoes its historic tones, with windows reconstructed according to the original design and enlivened by a warm green that became the project’s unifying element. The added volumes combine contemporary materials with rustic tones and the green of the vegetation, creating a harmonious contrast with the blue of the sea on the horizon. The interiors blend traditional Sardinian materials - wood, juniper beams, reed ceilings, textured plasters - with essential forms and contemporary details. The cement-effect gres recalls the decorative early 20th-century floors originally present in the villa, while terracotta and ochre tones interact with the orange of the façade. Carefully designed lighting emphasizes volumes and lines, highlighting historic pieces and local artisan works.
The result is a welcoming, balanced space that unites memory and innovation: a place that restores value to a landmark architecture of the area while offering an authentic experience, rooted in its context but designed for the present.
