Interior design intervention for a villa owned by a young couple. The property, already in excellent condition, required no major structural work; the project focused on redefining its spatial identity to align with the clients’ lifestyle and aesthetic vision, blending urban, minimal, and japandi influences.
The intervention included a comprehensive redesign of furnishings and interior details, from bedrooms to the main living areas. Flooring and wall finishes were reconfigured to enhance material coherence. Custom sofas and bed headboards were crafted by local artisans, while bespoke boiseries and integrated home office elements contributed to a more articulated spatial rhythm. Material and textile choices followed a cohesive moodboard, combining the warmth of wood with existing black-and-white contrasts, enriched by earthy tones such as terracotta and deep green. Natural light, a defining architectural feature of the villa, was treated as a primary compositional element, reinforcing continuity throughout the interiors. Attention was given to visual cohesion across furniture, décor, artworks, and outdoor areas, including the garden and pool. The result is a measured, luminous, and cohesive home that enhances the architectural language of contemporary Portuguese residences.
